Every Day With God
This page provides suggested daily Bible readings for every day of the year. By following this guide you will read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. A specific time should be set aside each day for reading.
EVERY DAY WITH GOD presents the Old Testament portions in chronological order, with the exception of Job and the Psalms. The prophets are included in the historical narrative where they were spoken. The Psalms will be read throughout the year.
Daily Bible reading is an essential element of one’s relationship with God. It symbolizes an openness to God’s revealed Will, a hunger for His Presence, and a thirst for knowledge of His Truth. Invariably, “peace that surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7) accompanies those “whose mind is stayed on the Lord” (Isaiah 26:3).
Resolve this year to spend a portion of each day in communion with God through His Word.

- Abundant Hope: 1 Peter 1:3-6- “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice.”
